"Attention Drug Dealers: Is Your Drug Dealing Competition Costing You Money?"
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office in Kentucky posted a flyer on its Facebook page Monday asking drug dealers for information about their business rivals.
The flyer reads: "We offer a free service to help you eliminate your drug competition!"
The attached form has a list of fields to fill out for name, residence, phone numbers, vehicles, other means of contact -- even hours of operation.
- Dealers seeking to weed out their competitors are asked to call, text or send in the information to the sheriff's office.
Franklin County Sheriff Pat Melton says the idea came from the McIntosh County Sheriff's Office in Georgia.
Melton said despite the humor, the intent is serious. Tuesday morning, the post had 394 online shares. A week later the post had more than 3,000 shares.
