Gymnastics Coach Jailed for Child Porn, Molestation Dies in Jail

INDIANAPOLIS -- (FOX59) -- A spokesperson for the Marion County Sheriff's Office confirms that Marvin Sharp, arrested last month on charges of child molestation and child pornography, has died from an apparent suicide.
Officials say that Sharp, 49, was found unresponsive in his cell a little after 8PM Saturday. No foul play is suspected in the death, but the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, The Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Marion County Coroner's Office have opened an investigation.
Sharp was arrested in August on four counts of child molestation and four counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. Additional charges against him, including producing child porn, were filed against him just this past week. He was also facing federal charges.
