Clemency denied for Kelly Gissendaner; Catholic church weighs in

ATLANTA -- (WGCL/AP) -- Kelly Gissendaner is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection Tuesday night.
It was announced Tuesday afternoon, the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles decision on February 25, denying clemency, stands.
The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals is still reviewing an appeal.
The Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta was hoping they would change the mind of the parole board.
