Early morning on Father's Day, 2013, Adrienne Salinas went missing from Tempe, Arizona. Two months later, on August 15, her partial remains were found near the Apache Trail in a wash at the base of the Superstition Mountains.
Her murder remains unsolved.
Timeline of events: Sunday, June 16
3:30 a.m.: Adrienne calls her boyfriend, Francisco. They had been fighting throughout the night.
3:44 a.m.: A 911 call is made concerning an erratically driven white Ford Taurus, Adrienne's car, at Rio Salado and Ash Avenue. Police respond to the scene, but the car is gone.It is determined that Adrienne goes back to her house, parks her car (now with two flat tires) a block away. She goes back to her house and changes clothes.
4:10 - 4:50 a.m.: Adrienne calls her boyfriend 32 times. He never answers.
4:23 a.m.: Adrienne calls for a cab, and tells it to pick her up at the AMPM convenience store.
4:43 a.m.: Adrienne texts her boyfriend, saying she is coming to his house.
4:53 a.m.: Cab driver calls Adrienne when she doesn't show up at the convenience store.
- 5:06 a.m.: Cab driver calls Adrienne again. It is believed her phone has gone dead.
So sometime between 4:43 a.m. and 5 a.m., Adrienne went missing. Police have cleared both the boyfriend and the cab driver as persons of interest.
The walk from Adrienne's apartment at McKemy and Brown streets to the AMPM minimart at University and Hardy drives should take 15 minutes if she stayed on the main streets. But she could have cut through Jaycee Park.
Along the way, Adrienne could have been abducted and taken into a car or an apartment building or garage, or she could have willingly gotten into a car to ask for a ride.
Could you have been out jogging or walking early that Father's Day morning, June 16, 2013? Maybe you might have seen something.
