UPDATE June 28, 2018:
Accused “Grid Kid Killer” John Giuca went into a rage during a hearing on June 28, 2018, speaking for the first time ever in court after a judge again declined to set bail pending his murder retrial, the New York Post reports.
“What you're doing to me is wrong, this is wrong, it's not right!” yelled Giuca, 34, struggling against his handcuffs as he screamed at Judge Danny Chun while being dragged out of a courtroom at Brooklyn Supreme Court. “I'm suffering, I'm suffering!”
Giuca's uncharacteristic display prompted his mother, Doreen Giuliano, to begin shouting, “He's innocent!” before she ran from the courtroom in tears.
The eruption came after defense attorney Mark Bederow made yet another application for his client's release on $500,000 bail while awaiting retrial.
