Off-duty cop kills armed robber during botched Craigslist sale

SPRINGFIELD GARDENS, Queens – An off-duty NYPD cop shot and killed one of two robbers during a Craigslist scam in Queens, police said.
The unidentified officer responded to an ad for a White BMW for sale and had arranged to meet the seller at Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and 145th Avenue in Springfield Gardens, Queens, police said.
Two men arrived and showed the officer the car, they went “back and forth” about the price, before one of the men pulled out a black handgun and aimed it at the officer.
