Ride along into the intense and sometimes dangerous world of 24-hour news junkies with cameras -- also called "stringers" -- who at times even beat police officers to crime scenes.
Crime Watch Daily hooked up with stringer Sam Dubin to see what a typical night is like cruising the streets of Los Angeles. And boy was it an interesting night.
It really is more than a job for these guys -- it's a lifestyle.
It's an incredibly high-octane job, and a genuinely dangerous one too. There were several times throughout the evening that Dubin arrived at the crime scene even before police did, which has its obvious risks.
Dubin's boss still trembles a little to this day as he recalls the night he was actually shot at while filming a fight.
And Dubin's girlfriend is less than thrilled by the fact that he actually sleeps with a police scanner in his bed.
