Police: Woman fakes cancer, scams victims of $25K

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. -- (WGCL) -- A Forsyth County woman is behind bars after allegedly scamming victims of nearly $25,000 in donations, trips, and gifts.
Mary Bennett, 29, is accused of faking Stage IV ovarian cancer since 2010. Police said Bennett received a trip to Houston, Atlanta Braves tickets, and a hunting trip.
Bennett would have people take her to the hospital but would not allow them to go inside with her, according to police.
