FORT BEND COUNTY, Tex. -- (KDAF) -- It's understandable how a gospel artist might try to cross over for a more contemporary, maybe even “edgy” appeal, but taking the Chris Brown route is not the way to go!
Grammy-nominated gospel artist James Fortune is finding that out the hard way, as he sits out a 5-day stretch in Fort Bend County jail.
Fortune was accused of striking his wife with a wooden vanity stool, kicking her and throwing her against the wall of their Stafford home in 2014. He pled out to a 3rd degree felony for assault.
