NOPD: Woman last seen leaving Canal Street hotel

NEW ORLEANS -- (WGNO) -- The NOPD needs the public's assistance in locating a missing person. Chanda Smith was last seen leaving her hotel room in the 500 block of Canal Street Sunday, June 26, 2016, at about 1 a.m.
Police say the 38-year-old has not been seen or heard from since.
Smith is described as a white female with dark brown hair. She has been diagnosed as bipolar and schizophrenic and it is possible she has not taken her medications.
If located, please do not approach Smith. Contact an Eighth District detective at (504) 658-6080 and notify NOPD of her location.
