Girl, 12, went missing from Hyde Park: police

CHICAGO -- (WGN) -- Chicago police are asking for the public's help in the search for a young girl who went missing from the Far South Side.
According to police, Shaniah Everhart, 12, was last seen Monday on the 5400 block of S. Ingleside Ave. in the city's Hyde Park neighborhood.
Police describe Everhart as African-American, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 118 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Everhart was last seen wearing a gray Mickey Mouse shirt, black shorts and green Nike gym shoes, according to police.
Police also note the girl likes to play basketball.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
