Kim Mathers sentenced to probation in drunk driving case

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. -- (WXYZ) -- Eminem's ex-wife Kim Mathers has been sentenced to 12 months probation in connection to a 2015 drunk driving case.
The 41-year-old pleaded "no contest" to a charge of impaired driving last month.
A judge also ordered that Mathers continue counseling and submit to random alcohol testing four times a month. She will also have to submit to drug testing twice a month.
Mathers was arrested in Macomb County on October 7, 2015 after she crashed her Cadillac Escalade.
"Really and truly deeply sorry for my actions that day. They were selfish, destructive, I didn't take into consideration anybody else's safety and the feelings of my family and I'm truly sorry."
According to the police report, the mother of two told officers she drank a fifth of rum and crashed the SUV on purpose in a suicide attempt.
