Beloved pre-K teacher shot dead in her home

SACRAMENTO -- (KTXL) -- Students called her Miss Ariyana; she was also a mother of two, but on Thursday night she was taken from those who loved her.
"That joy is not going to be here anymore; it's devastating to us," said Christy Vail with Sacramento Country Day School.
Ariyana Jones was inside her South Sacramento home when someone opened fire outside. Bullets riddled her home on Tortola Way. Her husband and two children weren't hurt, but she was killed in front of her own family.
"It doesn't make any sense," said neighbor Christopher Maharaj.
