NEW YORK -- (KSNV) -- MGM Resorts has released surveillance video of the Las Vegas shooter in the days leading up to the massacre last October that left 58 people dead.
The New York Times was the first to obtain the footage, which shows Stephen Paddock hauling bags of weapons to his suite at Mandalay Bay.
Paddock is also seen on the casino floor, riding an elevator and talking with valets, among other actions.
Authorities have said Paddock opened fire onto a crowd at the Route 91 Harvest music festival from a room at the Mandalay Bay on Oct. 1, 2017. He was found dead in his room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound a short time later.

The motive for Paddock's attack remains unknown.
Attorney Catherine Lombardo represents several Las Vegas shooting victims. She said the videos will likely play a key role in future lawsuits.
“Paddock knew that the Mandalay Bay was the perfect place to carry out this slaughter,” said Lombardo, adding: “Paddock knew that Mandalay Bay and MGM had subpar security and that he could walk right past them and that's exactly what he did.”
