NASHVILLE -- (WZTV) -- Police reports from the Tazwell County Sheriff's Office state Tennessee Waffle House shooter Travis Reinking was delusional and believed Taylor Swift was harassing him.
According to the report taken in May 2016, police responded to a CVS parking lot where EMS was evaluating Reinking. EMS stated Reinking said he believed everyone, including his own family and police were involved in the plot.
Police say Reinking believed the country star hacked his Netflix account and wanted to meet him at a Dairy Queen. When he arrived, he believed Swift was across the street yelling at him and she then took off running. By his account, she then climbed up the side of a building, where he followed her, but when he arrived at the rooftop, she was gone.
On the scene were his mother, father, and grandmother. The family stated he had been suffering from the delusions since 2014.
Reinking left from the scene and his family told police he made suicidal statements on the day of the response, May 26, 2016.
Reinking later returned to the parking lot of CVS, where he was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Reinking is currently on the loose and could be armed following Sunday's mass shooting. Nashville police believe he could be in possession of two firearms, is barefoot, and possibly only wearing black pants.
