4 additional murder charges being filed against Golden State Killer suspect in Santa Barbara County, DA says

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. -- (KTLA) -- Four counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances are being filed against Joseph James DeAngelo in Santa Barbara County, District Attorney Joyce Dudley announced Thursday. With the new case, prosecutors in Santa Barbara County join their counterparts in Orange, Sacramento in Ventura in pursuing charges against DeAngelo.
Dudley announced that DeAngelo is facing four charges of first-degree murder with special circumstances for the 1979 murders of Robert Offerman and Debra Manning and the 1981 murders of Cheri Domingo and Greg Sanchez. Both murders happened in Goleta, The San Luis Obispo Tribune reports.

Joseph DeAngelo, 72, is accused of at least a dozen murders and more than 50 rapes across California in the 1970s and '80s.
DeAngelo is facing charges in Sacramento, Orange and Ventura counties.
Authorities used DNA and a genealogical website to identify DeAngelo.
