BULLITT COUNTY, Ky. -- (WDKY) -- The grandmother of a 2-year-old girl who disappeared for more than a day admitted to using meth on the night she was watching the toddler, court records show.
Louisville Fox affiliate WDRB reports Beth Campbell was cited Wednesday for endangering the welfare of a child before she and her family appeared in court for a custody hearing.
Authorities say she was watching Charlee Campbell the night she disappeared. She was found more than 32 hours later in a wooded area near the home covered in tick bites and without her pajama pants or diaper.
She is due back in court on the charge June 25.
The sheriff's office told WDRB they were unsuccessful in their attempt to gain a search warrant on family members' electronic devices but will try again.
The results of the custody hearing are sealed.
