Woman sentenced for death of 5-year-old son found in backyard

CLEVELAND -- (WJW) -- A Cleveland woman pleaded guilty in the murder of her 5-year-old son.
Investigators found the remains of Jordan Rodriguez remains behind a house on West 80th Street in Cleveland on Dec. 19. Court documents said his body showed signs of abuse and included broken ribs.
His mother, 34-year-old Larissa Rodriguez, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the murder.
Her boyfriend, 36-year-old Christopher Rodriguez, is expected to plead guilty as well.
In April, Larissa Rodriguez pleaded guilty to trafficking in food stamps, telecommunications fraud, grand theft and money laundering, and was sentenced to six years in prison. Prosecutors said she sold $10,000 worth of food stamps to a family social services workers from Catholic Charities.
Larissa Rodriguez gave birth to her tenth child in May. The baby girl was placed in foster care.
