JERSEY CITY, N.J. —- (WPIX) -- A man was arrested Sunday in the sexual assault and murder of a jogger whose body was found in a lake at Lincoln Park, according to the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor.
Jorge Rios, 33, of Jersey City, is charged with felony murder, kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault, prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.
The arrest comes a week after Carolina Cano's body was pulled from a lake in Lincoln Park.
Cano had left home to go for a run when she disappeared, according to her roommate.
The 45-year-old nanny had work that day, but never showed.
The medical examiner later determined Cano's cause of death was "homicidal violence," including strangulation and water submersion.
