Milwaukee man shoots 5 times in barber shop fight: Police

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WITI) -- Attempted homicide and other charges were filed Wednesday, March 4 against a Milwaukee man accused of shooting another man five times during a fight at a barber shop on Feb. 12 near 27th Street and Atkinson Avenue.
Kermit Wright, 53, faces three felonies: Attempted first-degree intentional homicide, habitual criminality repeater, use of a dangerous weapon; First-degree reckless injury, habitual criminality repeater, use of a dangerous weapon; Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony, habitual criminality repeater.
The victim identified Wright as the shooter, prosecutors said, and noted they had known each other for five years. He said before the shooting, they were driving around, drinking and smoking marijuana and cocaine. Around 8 p.m., they went to the barbershop where an argument became physical. The victim said the two went their separate ways.
The complaint said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds “which caused paralysis.”
