6 inmates at large after 12 escape from Yakima County Jail

YAKIMA, Wash. (KCPQ) -- Authorities are searching for a group of inmates who escaped from the Yakima County Jail Monday evening.
The Yakima County Department of Corrections says it happened at about 7 p.m. when the inmates used a table to break open a fire door and then jumped over a fence.
A total of 12 inmates escaped. Six have been taken back into custody and six remain at large as of Monday evening, according to the Dept. of Corrections.
Yakima Police are asking anyone with information on the inmates' whereabouts to call 911.
