BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (WPIX) -- An alleged attacker accused of grabbing an 86-year-old woman by her face and throwing her to the ground at a Brooklyn hospital may have started the fight because the victim was not social distancing, police sources said.
On March 28, the woman, Janie Marshall, who had dementia, grabbed onto another patient's IV pole to regain her balance and orient herself, according to police, the New York Times reports.
A verbal dispute began, and Cassandra Lundy, 32, shoved Marshall, 86, knocking her down. Marshall struck her head on the floor and died three hours later.
