BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WHNT) -- Birmingham Police said 43-year-old Kanisha Necole Fuller was found shot dead Friday night, a result of a "love triangle gone bad."
On Friday about 11:51 p.m., West Precinct officers responded to shots reported on Pearson Avenue. Police found Fuller shot multiple times inside of an unmarked Birmingham Police vehicle. Fuller was taken to UAB Hospital where she died Saturday morning.
Police say Fuller was in the unmarked police car with off-duty Birmingham Police detective Mario Theodore White.
The accused shooting suspect, 39-year-old Alfreda Fluker, is a police detective who was off-duty at the time of the shooting. Saturday morning Fluker was taken into custody at her home.
Fluker worked for the Birmingham Police Department for 15 years in the Crime Reduction Unit. She is being held in the Jefferson County jail and will be charged with multiple charges, including murder.
Tuesday, the State Bureau of Investigation charged 39-year-old Alfreda Fluker with capital murder in the shooting death of Kanisha Nicole Fuller. She is also charged with attempted murder of Mario Theodore White.
There is no indication White called 911 following the shooting, AL.com reports. White is on leave pending ongoing investigations.
