WEST JORDAN, Utah (KSTU) -- The main suspect in the double homicide of a West Jordan couple was arrested in California Wednesday.
According to a tweet from the West Jordan Police Department, Albert Enoch Johnson was taken into custody early Wednesday morning in the Sacramento area.
The 31-year-old Johnson is suspected of breaking into the home of Tony and Katherine Butterfield early Saturday and shooting them to death after an apparent struggle.
Johnson's wife, Sina, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of withholding information about her husband's whereabouts and destroying crime evidence.
Albert Johnson had a criminal record in California, including assault convictions in Sacramento County and a prison sentence for violating probation, The Mercury News reports. The details of his arrest were not immediately released.
The Butterfields were killed Saturday morning in a shooting, while three children younger than 4 were left unharmed at the West Jordan home.
