NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A 27-year-old man is charged with rape and sexual battery after a woman found her 13-year-old daughter "physically helpless" in the suspect's bed Tuesday.
Jackson Hernandez-Gomez was arrested Tuesday by Metro Nashville Police on a charge of sexual battery on a helpless individual, and was charged Thursday morning with rape in the same case.
Metro Nashville police officers responded to a residence in South Nashville on Tuesday “for a rape involving a 13-year-old [girl] and a 27-year-old [suspect].”
The girl's mother told officers she entered Hernandez-Gomez's room and found her 13-year-old daughter laid out on the suspect's bed, “not moving with white foam coming from her mouth leaving her physically helpless,” the warrant states.

Police say Hernandez-Gomez told detectives the child “came home drunk and high on drugs,” entered his room, then “laid on his bed” and indicated she “wanted to have sex.” Hernandez-Gomez said he penetrated the girl with two fingers before the girl's mother came into the room.
The 13-year-old girl was transported to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital “due to possibly overdosing on drugs,” police said.
Police said Hernandez-Gomez had been living with the child's family for several weeks while working a construction job with one of her relatives.
