SPRING HILL, Fla. (TCD) --
A 36-year-old Louisiana man was arrested Sunday after he was found living in a Florida teenager's bedroom by the girl's parents, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday.
Hernando County Sheriff's deputies responded to a Spring Hill residence at 4 p.m. Sunday after the parents of a teenager reportedly found a man in their daughter's bedroom.
Deputies found Johnathan Lee Rossmoine hiding in the closet in the teen's bedroom. The girl referred to Rossmoine as a boyfriend, deputies said.
She said she first told Rossmoine she was 18, but she told him she was only 15 before they met in person, according the sheriff's office. The suspect and the victim first met on an online chat app about two years ago, deputies said. It was not clear when they met in person.
The girl told deputies Rossmoine had been "living off and on" in her bedroom since August 19. The suspect hid in the girl's closet when her parents were home, deputies said.
Rossmoine told deputies he had been in Hernando County for about five weeks, having sex with the teenager "on numerous occasions." He had driven from Louisiana several times for sex with the girl, deputies said.
He said he and the girl also had "numerous sexual encounters" in his van, which was parked near the family's house, deputies said.
Johnathan Rossmoine was charged with four counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim between the age of 12 and 16, and one count of obscene communication - travel to meet after use of computer to lure child.
