OMAHA, Neb. (KPTM) -- Two people are dead and two more were hurt in a shooting at a Sonic Drive-In in Bellevue Saturday at 9:23 p.m.
Bellevue Police were called to a shooting at 1307 Cornhusker Rd. and found four people shot there. Two people were taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center and two other people were pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Roberto Carlos Silva Jr., was taken into custody shortly after officers arrived.
Silva was booked into the Sarpy County Jail on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree arson.
Bellevue Police said officers responded to the same Sonic Drive-In to investigate a case of identity theft on Wednesday, Nov. 18 and said Silva was arrested for allegedly using someone else's Sonic app to order food. Officers said Silva had three guns with him Wednesday when they pulled his car over to arrest him for identity theft (under $500).
The Omaha World-Herald reports Silva was released from Sarpy County Jail Thursday after posting 10 percent of $1,500 bail.
According to the Omaha World-Herald, Bellevue Police officers sent to the scene of the shooting Saturday night first were told a bomb may be inside a moving-truck parked in the parking lot. A U-Haul truck in the parking lot was on fire because of fireworks or some type of device, Bellevue Police said.
