KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (TCD) --
Two women have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of a man whose body was found on a remote road in Knox County, and sheriff's investigators were searching for an outstanding suspect.
According to WBIR-TV, 33-year-old Victor Letner arranged to meet up with Kendra Ivey in early February for sex. He was reported missing February 9 after not having been heard from since February 7. His birthday was February 6.
WBIR reported that Ivey, 24, told investigators that Letner drove her to the 7000 block of Kodak Road after he did not give her "the amount of money agreed upon." When they arrived, Ivey's boyfriend Charlie "Rico" Martinez, 23, allegedly was already there with the intention of robbing Letner.
Martinez reportedly shot and killed Letner, then the two of them fled the scene. Investigators said Martinez and Ivey "split the $40 between each other."
