ADA, Okla. (TCD) --
An Oklahoma woman and her alleged accomplice were arrested in connection to the murder of the woman’s husband, a church pastor, authorities announced Friday.
Kristie Evans called 911 to report an intruder had shot her husband in her home on Northcrest Drive in Ada just after 1 a.m. on Monday, March 22.
Responding officers found 50-year-old David Evans with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. David Evans was identified as a local church pastor.
Ada Police requested an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) investigation of the homicide case.
OSBI agents met with Kristie Evans at the Ada Police Dept. Thursday morning. Evans, 47, reportedly confessed to her role in her husband’s murder, according to the OSBI, and she was arrested.
At about 11 p.m. Thursday, OSBI agents arrested Kahlil Square, 26, at a Newalla residence in connection with David Evans’ murder.
Kristie Evans was held in the Pontotoc County Jail. Kahlil Square was held in the Cleveland County Jail. Their charges were not immediately announced.
“Based on evidence collected and interviews conducted, Kristie and Square were identified as suspects in David’s murder,” the OSBI said Friday.
