SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio (TCD) --
A Cleveland-area woman was arrested this week after allegedly yelling at another woman inside Walmart and attacking her with a 10-pound package of beef.
The South Euclid Police Department shared on Facebook that on May 11, officers responded to a disturbance in the potato chip aisle at the store. According to the police department, one woman had a protective order against the other related to a time when they lived in the same duplex in University Heights. Neither of their identities were released.
According to the statement, the two women made eye contact and the woman who filed the protective order was confronted by the other woman. The woman whom the order was filed against reportedly told the protected woman she would "beat her a--" as well as the protected woman's 7-year-old daughter.
The woman who the protective order was filed against allegedly pulled down her mask and tried spitting at the protected woman. The police department said she missed, so the woman "entered the other woman's shopping cart, and struck her in the face with a 10 pound log of prepackaged meat."
The 25-year-old was arrested and charged with assault and violating a temporary protection order. The woman was reportedly with her 5-year-old daughter, who was turned over a family member after her arrest.
The South Euclid Police Department said in their statement the arrested woman has a "history of violent behavior" and "multiple warrants out for her arrest."
