Naked woman drives golf cart in the middle of armed standoff in Florida

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (TCD) -- A Boston woman caused a distraction during an armed standoff over the weekend when she allegedly drove a golf cart naked into the middle of a SWAT situation.
On Sunday, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office engaged in an armed standoff with 18-year-old Myles Abbott when he ran from deputies and climbed onto the roof of a private residence. The Sheriff’s Office wrote in a press release that Abbott pointed his gun at deputies and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team came in to assist.
After six hours, Abbott was eventually forced off the roof and arrested.
According to WFLA-TV, in the midst of the standoff, Jessica Elisabeth Smith drove a golf cart past law enforcement vehicles and ignored calls for her to leave the scene as she neared the house where Abbott was standing on the roof.
WFLA, citing the arrest affidavit, says Smith’s "actions and inability to follow directions put multiple deputies at risk for potentially getting shot at."
Smith reportedly had a "distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person." Additionally, she was "completely nude."
According to Pinellas County Jail records, Smith was booked on charges of resisting an officer without violence. She was released Monday morning.
