ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (TCD) -- Two 13-year-old girls were arrested for allegedly making a hit list that included fellow students at their school.
According to a statement by Indiana State Police, on Oct. 29, LaVille Jr./Sr. High School officials learned there was a list circulating on social media with students' names on it. The names allegedly represented those the "two students intended to do harm to at a school dance."
The school officials contacted Indiana State Police, who began an investigation. The two juveniles were taken into custody as a result and charged with intimidation and conspiracy to commit murder.
The teens were reportedly transported to the Thomas N. Frederick Juvenile Justice Center. According to WSBT-TV, their hearings are scheduled for Nov. 5 and Nov. 8.
WBND-TV reports the dance still went on as planned but with a heavier security presence. Parents at the school reportedly learned after the teens were arrested that there was a threat made to the dance.
