LAS VEGAS (TCD) -- A 32-year-old man is accused of purposely driving his pickup truck into his wife's former lover's motorcycle, causing him to crash into a wall and die.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement officers were dispatched to a collision near West Washington Avenue and Michael Way on Nov. 7 at approximately 8:43 a.m. EMS reportedly transported the motorcyclist to University Medical Center Trauma where he later died from his injuries.
KLAS-TV identified the motorcycle driver as 24-year-old Ryan Pollare.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, investigators "determined the collision was intentional." Detectives from the department's Homicide Section responded to the scene and reportedly concluded Pollare previously had an affair with Daniels' wife. Police allege Daniels "followed the victim from a residence and intentionally swerved, striking the victim's motorcycle, and causing him to leave the roadway and crash."
KLAS reports Daniels' wife Nadia Mayers reportedly followed the men as they drove. She reportedly told police she saw Daniels swerve in order to hit Pollare, who hit a bus shelter and wall.
Police arrested Daniels and charged him with murder. Court records show he is being held without bail.
According to the arrest report cited by KLAS, Mayers said she had been in a relationship with Pollare six months prior. A day before the crash, Pollare allegedly came to her house and "shot two rounds in her front yard, stole her cellphone and pistol-whipped her."
Police reportedly showed up to Mayers' residence after receiving a battery domestic violence call and noticed she had bruises on her body. Mayers allegedly contacted Pollare because she wanted some items back he stole from her, and he reportedly threatened to kill Daniels.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said Pollare's cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
