BEL AIR, Calif. (TCD) -- One man is in custody and another suspect is still being sought after a multimillion-dollar home was burglarized Tuesday night.
According to KTLA-TV, officers responded to the 900 block of Bel Air Road around 9:35 p.m. regarding a "hot prowl burglary." A hot prowl burglary is reportedly when someone is in the home at the time of the burglary.
According to KNBC-TV, a security team member from the residence caught and detained one person inside. Police said they took the 28-year-old man into custody and are searching for a second suspect, KTLA reports.
Though police reportedly inspected every room of the large Bel Air home, the second suspect was not located. Upon further investigation, KTLA says the suspect taken into custody "had taken a shower, smoked a cigar, and had a drink while security was in the Bel-Air house."
Details about how the suspects got into the home or what they stole remain unknown.
According to KNBC, the Bel Air home sold for $94 million in 2019.
