Florida mother and 2 kids found dead in murder-suicide after alleged argument with husband

LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. (TCD) -- A father reportedly found his wife and two children deceased in an apparent murder-suicide Wednesday, Jan. 12.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the scene in the Lake Padgett area and believe the mother took the lives of her two children before taking her own. The names of everyone involved were not disclosed by the Sheriff’s Office.
In a news conference held Thursday, Jan. 13, Sergeant Michael Rosa with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit said the children were 9 months old and 3 years old. Rosa said that an argument and the mother’s mental health may have contributed to the murder-suicide. There were reportedly no prior domestic issues involving the immediate family.
During the press conference, both Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco and Rosa emphasized the importance of reaching out for help and eliminating the stigma around mental health.
