MEMPHIS (TCD) -- A 32-year-old man pleaded guilty this week to crimes he reportedly committed against two of his ex-girlfriends and another ex-girlfriend's baby.
The Shelby County District Attorney's Office said in a statement Latherio Richard entered the plea Wednesday, Feb. 24, for charges of aggravated child abuse, kidnapping, and aggravated burglary.
According to the statement, in March 2019, Richard's then-girlfriend's son was taken to the emergency room after suffering blisters on his feet and legs. Doctors reportedly determined the injuries were consistent with first- and second-degree burns "consistent with being immersed in hot water." Richard was reportedly babysitting the child the same day the burns were found.
On Jan. 28, 2018, Richard and his 22-year-old girlfriend reportedly were at a hotel on Shelby Oaks Drive when they got into an argument. Richard allegedly "pushed her head into a wall and refused to let her leave."
Another incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of April 15, 2017. Richard reportedly went to his girlfriend's apartment in Hickory Ridge to gather some of his personal items following their breakup. According to the statement, Richard "forced his way inside where he pushed and shoved the woman, causing her to fall and break her ankle."
The Shelby County District Attorney's Office says he was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
