BEXAR COUNTY, Texas (TCD) -- A 19-year-old man was arrested last week after allegedly biting and strangling a woman who did not say goodbye to him.
According to a press release from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, March 9, deputies responded to a home to a report of an assault. Ethan Devilbliss had reportedly bitten a female victim and strangled her, causing redness.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Devilbliss became angry because she did not "properly say goodbye to him." The victim reportedly tried to call 911, but Devilbliss took her phone and drove away. The Sheriff’s Office says Devilbliss was located minutes later and arrested.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, upon his arrest, authorities found a pistol in Devilbliss’ possession along with an ounce of marijuana. He was reportedly prohibited by court order to have firearms. Devilbliss was arrested and charged with assault/strangulation, continuous violence against family, violation of bond/protective order — assault/stalking, interference with emergency telephone call, and possession of marijuana, the Sheriff’s Office says.
Additionally, Devilbliss reportedly had four active warrants for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of unlawful carry of a handgun inside a motor vehicle, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
