MANHEIM, Pa. (TCD) -- A 57-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stabbing her husband multiple times while he was napping on the couch.
According to a press release from the Manheim Borough Police Department, on Sunday, March 20, officers responded to 216 N. Charlotte St. in response to a domestic-related assault at approximately 2:32 p.m. At the scene, police say they found a man who had been stabbed several times by his wife, Marcia Pejcic.
Pejcic reportedly used two different knives during the incident. Before the alleged assault, police say Pejcic reported wanting to kill her husband. Pejcic allegedly said she "was going to kill (him) by cutting his head like a pig."
Upon further investigation, authorities learned Pejcic attacked her husband while he was sleeping on the couch, WPMT-TV reports. As her husband slept, Pejcic allegedly pulled the blanket off him and stabbed him in the eyelid. She reportedly continued to stab him at least five times in the face and head.
According to police, Pejcic was arrested and charged with attempted homicide and two counts of aggravated assault. She was reportedly booked into the Lancaster County Prison with bail set at $500,000.
