LAS VEGAS (TCD) -- A 36-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly intentionally running over two juveniles earlier this week.
According to KLAS-TV, on Monday, March 28, the two victims were hit at approximately 1:25 p.m., in the area of Palo Verde Drive and Burkholder Boulevard near Basic Academy High School.
Fatima Mitchell was reportedly detained by Clark County School District police after "trying to hit and kill people." Her Chevrolet Tahoe was allegedly discovered with damage on the front bumper and hood, along with a small tree branch jammed in the hood.
The Henderson Police Department told KSNV-TV one of the juvenile victims was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the other victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
According to KSNV, Mitchell told authorities her daughter had been jumped by multiple kids, though she was not able to gather information on who was fighting with her daughter. The arrest report obtained by KSNV says, "She (Mitchell) then went back to the area of Basic High School and saw a group of girls and asked them 'what's up, who wants it?'" Then Mitchell allegedly drove toward the group.
According to KSNV, Mitchell told police, "If anyone messes with my kids all I know is to take them out."
Mitchell was reportedly arrested and booked on two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon. According to KSNV, she is scheduled to appear for her arraignment hearing on Thursday, March 31. Mitchell remains held at Henderson Detention Center without bail.
