Texas bakery owner accused of stabbing and lighting man on fire

DALLAS (TCD) -- A 45-year-old bakery owner was recently arrested after allegedly stabbing a man, pouring gasoline on him, and lighting the victim on fire.
According to the Dallas Police Department, on April 3 at approximately 9:18 a.m., officers responded to 1330 Kings Highway to a report of a body found in an alleyway. At the scene, authorities reportedly located a male victim, 52-year-old Anthony Moreno. Police say Moreno had also been burned.
Upon further investigation, police learned Manuel Tellez of Grand Prairie allegedly stabbed Moreno to death in the alley. Tellez reportedly left the scene, changed clothes, and when he returned, allegedly poured gasoline on Moreno and set fire to his body.
According to police, Tellez was arrested and charged with murder. He was reportedly booked into Dallas County Jail on $1.5 million bail.
According to the Oak Cliff Advocate, Tellez owns Maroches Bakery, which is reportedly known for its cookies, tres leches cake, and pan de muerto.
