HONOLULU (TCD) -- Actor Ezra Miller was arrested a second time in Hawaii this year after allegedly striking a 26-year-old woman with a chair.
According to a press release from the Hawai’i Police Department, on Tuesday, April 19, at approximately 1:10 a.m., officers from Puna Patrol responded to a report of an assault at a private residence in the Leilani Estates subdivision.
According to police, Miller, who was visiting from Vermont, was asked to leave the private residence and became angry. The 29-year-old actor allegedly threw a chair and hit the female victim on the forehead. Police say the woman suffered a half-inch cut and refused medical treatment.
According to police, Miller was located during a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 130 and Kukula Street in Kea’au and arrested at 1:30 a.m. The actor was reportedly charged with second-degree assault.
On Tuesday, April 19, at around 4:05 a.m., Miller was released pending further investigation, police say. The investigation remains ongoing.
The recent arrest reportedly comes just a month after Miller was arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment.
According to the Hawai’i Police Department, on Sunday, March 27, at around 11:30 p.m., Miller allegedly became agitated with patrons at a karaoke bar. The actor reportedly yelled obscenities, grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman, and later lunged toward a 32-year-old man playing darts.
On March 28, shortly after midnight, police say Miller was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment, with bail set at $500.
According to KHON2-TV, Miller is known for playing The Flash in the "Justice League" films as well as a prominent role in the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise.
