HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (TCD) -- Two people from Tennessee were arrested this week after allegedly kidnapping a 17-year-old girl and holding her for ransom.
According to a press release from the Hot Springs Police Department, on Tuesday, April 19, at approximately 3:22 p.m., missing Arkansas teen Trynytee Case was found at 4737 Central Ave. and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Police say they identified 19-year-old Dayla Ferrer of Memphis and 38-year-old Samuel Bolling of Nashville as the two suspects in the case.
According to WHBQ-TV, reports say a co-worker tried to contact Case through her phone, but no one answered. The co-worker reportedly alerted Case’s mother, who tried to call her daughter’s phone.
After numerous tries, someone allegedly answered Case’s mother’s call and said, "Everything is fine." A man’s voice came on the phone, and police told WHBQ they demanded $10,000 for Case’s return. They reportedly threatened to kill and cut up the girl if they didn’t get the money.
According to police, on April 19, at around 5:52 p.m., Bolling and Ferrer were found at 4810 Central Ave. and arrested without incident. They were reportedly charged with kidnapping, aggravated robbery, first-degree battery, and first-degree false imprisonment. Police say they remain held at the Garland County Detention Center without bond.
