BELFAST, Maine (TCD) -- A man reportedly attempted some "Scooby Doo"-type tactics over the weekend as he tried hiding from police.
According to the Belfast Police Department, on May 1 at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers were called out to the Admiral Ocean Inn for report of a disturbance. The subject, Philip Dulude, was allegedly drunk and subsequently removed from the property.
Police reportedly told Dulude he would be arrested if he tried coming back onto the inn’s property.
A few hours later at 12:40 a.m., a police sergeant searching around the Admiral Ocean Inn’s parking lot reportedly "found someone in a chair hiding under a blanket." The sergeant then "pulled the blanket off and found Dulude hiding under it."
Dulude was arrested for criminal trespass and violation of bail conditions.
In a rather fitting moment, WGME-TV reports Dulude was booked into the Waldo County Jail. His bail was reportedly set at $100.
