Police identify alleged Kansas 'poopetrator' who defecated in beauty store, destroying 8 wigs

WICHITA, Kan. (TCD) -- The Wichita Police Department has identified a woman they say defecated in the aisle of a beauty store, causing damage to products.
According to a news release from the Wichita Police Department, on Tuesday, May 10, the female suspect entered a beauty supply store located in the 2200 block of E. 21st Street, where she defecated in the middle of an aisle. Police say eight wigs were destroyed as a result of the significant defecation, and the store would like to pursue criminal charges against the "poopetrator."
Surveillance video reportedly captured the incident, and on Tuesday, May 17, police announced that they have identified the suspect, though they did not disclose her name.
According to the Wichita Eagle, authorities do not know the suspect’s motive. All in all, the damaged wigs were reportedly valued at approximately $200.
While the search continues for the suspect, Wichita Police and other police departments didn’t hold back on poking fun at the situation. In the comment section of the news release, Wichita police said, "We’ve already confirmed that this is NOT Amber Heard so please stop calling and emailing that info! Thanks!"
The River City Police Department commented, "8 wigs? Did you look for this human in Taco Bell? That usually does it to me (although the best I could do is 6 wigs)."
