CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (TCD) -- A 59-year-old man accused of shooting two people and burning a house down allegedly did so because he wanted a woman "returned" to him.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, on Feb. 23, Pennsylvania State Police responded to a house fire on the 100 block of Neil Road when two bodies were found inside the residence. During their investigation, troopers learned the two suspects, Larry Burns and Cordaryl Burns, had fled the state.
Members of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force arrested Cordaryl March 22 in Detroit, while Larry was taken into custody the same day in Lumberton, North Carolina. According to WHTM-TV, the victims were identified as 37-year-old Frankie Thomas and 54-year-old Eddie Shaw. The Cumberland County Coroner determined the two men died from gunshot wounds.
The Cumberland County District Attorney's Office said Larry Burns was extradited from North Carolina to Pennsylvania and appeared at a court hearing on charges of criminal homicide, arson, conspiracy, and related offenses. The office alleges Larry "and his co-defendant shot and killed the two victims and then set the home on fire."
The District Attorney also said court records relating to the case that had previously been sealed were now publicly available.
Penn Live, which cites the newly unsealed documents, reports Larry allegedly became "obsessed" with Jasmine Forbes, a 31-year-old woman who started dating the owner of the Neil Road home, Immanuel Kharigub. Forbes and the two male victims reportedly stayed at the residence because they were all homeless.
Larry allegedly texted and called Kharigub and said he needed to "return" Forbes to him. He also reportedly put a $50,000 bounty on one of the men because they were "hiding" Forbes. She went missing after the fire and reportedly has not yet been found, according to Penn Live.
At Larry's apartment, Pennsylvania State Police troopers reportedly found firearms, ammunition, and other evidence with blood on it. Penn Live reports Cordaryl remains in custody in Detroit and has an extradition hearing June 14.
