N.C. couple charged after their 2-month-old dies with 'multiple burns and broken bones'

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (TCD) -- A couple has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of their 2-month-old daughter.
According to WLOS-TV, on Tuesday, June 28, Buncombe County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Four Wheel Drive, where 28-year-old Diandra Fuhr-Farlow and 35-year-old Nickolas Stephenson live. Multiple units were reportedly involved with the investigation, including the Major Case, Crime Scene, and the Special Investigations units.
An autopsy for the victim, 2-month-old Riley Stephenson, is scheduled to be performed, WYFF-TV reports.
The father, Stephenson, is accused of inflicting "multiple burns and broken bones" upon his daughter. According to the arrest warrant obtained by WLOS, Fuhr-Farlow "intentionally and neglectfully" left the child in a "serious injured state that led to her death."
Stephenson was arrested on June 28 and booked into the Buncombe County Detention Center on $500,000 bond, records show. He was reportedly charged with second-degree murder and negligent child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
Fuhr-Farlow was also arrested on June 28, and she was booked into Buncombe County Detention Center on $150,000 bond, according to records. She was reportedly charged with felonious child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
Both suspects are scheduled to appear in court on July 20.
