California woman accused of sexually abusing her foster child for months

YUBA CITY, Calif. (TCD) -- A 30-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly sexually abusing her foster child for months.
According to a news release from the Yuba City Police Department, on June 26, authorities launched an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse between Elizabeth Valdovinos and her juvenile foster child. The abuse reportedly occurred between January 2022 and April 2022.
Police said the victim was living with Valdovinos during the time when the alleged abuse took place.
On July 7, Valdovinos was found and arrested in the 900 block of Eastcrest Court, according to police. She was reportedly booked into the Sutter County Jail on charges of statutory rape and oral copulation of a minor. Valdovinos' bond was initially set at $15,000, but she was released on July 7, records show.
