Missing Indianapolis dad found dead floating in water, kids in car at bottom of the pond

INDIANAPOLIS (TCD) -- A 27-year-old man and his three young children were found dead this week in a pond with the children still inside a vehicle at the bottom of the water.
In a statement, the Indianapolis Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Bluff Road for reports of a deceased person on Tuesday, July 12, at 7:30 p.m., When officers arrived, they reportedly found a male floating in the water. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Indianapolis Fire Department’s Dive Team and Department of Natural Resources soon discovered a car at the bottom of the pond using sonar technology. The vehicle, a Saab, was pulled from the water and investigators found three deceased children inside.
WXIN-TV reports the coroner identified the victims as Kyle Moorman, 27, Kyle Moorman II, 5, Kyannah Holland, 2, and Kyran Holland, 1.
Moorman and his children were reportedly last seen Wednesday, July 6, at 11 p.m. on the 1000 block of South Sherman Drive.
According to WXIN, Moorman reportedly told his family he was taking his kids night fishing. His phone was reportedly last active in the area on July 7 at 12:48 p.m.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office will conduct autopsies and determine the causes and manners of death.
