Pa. man faces several hundred charges for allegedly raping 7-year-old 143 times

WAYNE COUNTY, Pa. (TCD) -- A 40-year-old man has been charged with several hundred counts of sexual assault-related charges for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 7-year-old over the course of 11 months.
According to court documents, Jeremy Briscese has been charged with 130 counts of rape of a child, 143 counts of statutory sexual assault, 143 counts of sexual assault, 130 counts of aggravated indecent assault, 143 counts of incest of minor under 13 years of age, 143 counts of endangering the welfare of children, and many more. The docket contains 64 pages of the charges against him.
WBRE/WYOU-TV reports the alleged assaults occurred from March 2021 to February 2022. Briscese allegedly added a heart to his calendar each time the child was raped.
The criminal complaint cited by WBRE says investigators counted 143 hearts.
According to WBRE, the victim allegedly told their grandmother about what happened, but she allegedly did not believe them. She also reportedly told the 7-year-old not to tell their therapist about it.
Briscese's bail was set at $500,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 27.
