Alabama man accused of sexually torturing and abusing child under 12

AUBURN, Ala. (TCD) -- A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly sexually torturing a juvenile and possession of child pornography.

According to a statement, on Aug. 12, Auburn Police officers spoke with someone who told them an adult "was possibly having sexual contact with a child less than 12 years old at a residence in Auburn."

Police began investigating and identified Tyler Wade Fox as the main suspect. He allegedly knows the victim’s relatives, but his relationship to the victim was not immediately clear. Auburn Police officers located Fox and took him into custody.

He has been booked on charges of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old, sexual torture, production of child pornography, and possession of child pornography.

Auburn Police said Fox is awaiting a bond hearing. Lee County Jail listed his primary charge as sexual torture, and Auburn Police noted in their statement Fox could face additional charges as the investigation continues.
